Why “Fairy Rock Skin Care”?
Our name is rooted in magic, myth, and a little piece of English wonder. High in the Peak District lies a dramatic rock formation known as The Roaches, whispered about in local folklore. For generations, people have spoken of fairies dancing there at twilight, leaving behind a shimmer of enchantment on the stones and tales of mysticism and wonder. Our formulation lab sits at the foot of this dramatic and wonderful place, empowering each and every product we make.
We chose Fairy Rocks because it captures everything we believe in – nature that feels alive, beauty woven with story, and a sense of wonder in every jar and bottle.
Just like those mystical rocks, our skincare is more than the surface you see: it carries whispers of the earth, a touch of magic, and the promise of transformation.

Ailsa – The Heart Behind Fairy Rock Skincare
I initially became interested in skin care around seven years ago after watching someone I cared about live with a painful skin condition.
I began reading the ingredients prescribed by his doctor and noticed that most of them contained chemicals that were harmful to the skin such as paraffin and parabens that, over time could negatively impact the skin and cause it to become thin and unhealthy.
I began doing my own research to find out what natural products could be used instead to reduce redness, soreness, and itchiness and help keep skin soft and hydrated. I started experimenting using a range of products and began making my own skin care.
After spending years creating skin care that will suit all skin types I am now ready to share my products in the hope they will benefit and support you to maintain healthy, glowing and great looking skin. I have samples available for you to try before committing to a full size product...I am confident you will not be disappointed.

I left a successful marketing career to focus on the promotion and expansion of the family business.
I am a keen open water swimmer with an interest in health, wellbeing and natural living. Having suffered from psoriasis myself during times of stress I have always been very aware of the way off the shelf products can affect our skin and its natural balance.
My focus in working within the business is to introduce people to a jargon free way of helping them to help themselves - a business which is about people helping people, not shareholders or just profits.
